On Friday, October 18, the Technical University of Dublin (TU Dublin) hosted a hybrid event (both online and in-person) focused on the TDP4HE (Transforming Digital Pedagogies for Higher Education) project. This event aimed to explore the open educational resources (OER) developed by TDP4HE, designed for innovative pedagogy, via the Indie platform (developed by the Technical University of Cartagena). Participants had the opportunity to join a hands-on session to explore the TDP4HE project's open community platform, with a special focus on the virtual space dedicated to OER and open educational practices (OEP), while discussing the perspectives and opportunities offered by the platform.
During the event, 25 attendees were introduced to the OER platform in detail and gave feedback to the OER's authors. This platform, created to provide free access to a variety of educational resources, aims to support teachers in adopting innovative digital practices. The discussions proved particularly valuable, as they highlighted the strengths of the platform while identifying areas for improvement to better meet users' needs in their daily practices.
Another highlight of the event was the presentation of the Self-Assessment Tool developed by the Technical University of Cartagena. This tool, designed to help teachers evaluate their digital pedagogy skills, was enthusiastically received. It allows users to better understand their strengths and the areas where they may benefit from further professional development. The event at TU Dublin marked an important milestone in the dissemination of the TDP4HE project's results and the creation of an active community of teachers committed to open education.
